M3 at ECOLE MOSER

Swiss Maturité

M3 is the final year of Higher Secondary (College) at Ecole Moser. The M3 curriculum provides a more in-depth university-style education which includes lectures in an auditorium, multidisciplinary work sessions in groups and the monitoring of the group by a dedicated tutor.

The student chooses his or her special option (option complémentaire) from the range of options on offer.
He or She also completes the Maturity Project/Thesis which he or she started in M2. The thesis is about 15 pages long and is followed by an oral presentation to a jury. The thesis can be written in English (strongly recommended for Bilingual English M3 students) or in another language. The research topic and research question are freely chosen by the student but must be linked to a subject of the Maturity curriculum. Students can also choose to prepare a technical/artistic project or to set up an extra-curricular project.

At the end of the year, the December and June exam grades and the grades acquired in continuous assessment all along the year in History, Geography, Philosophy, History of Art and Special Option (option complémentaire) as well as the Maturity Project/Thesis grade, become the final grades for those subjects. They count for the final Maturity diploma results.

The written and oral Maturity exams for French, German, English, Mathematics and the Specific Option are held at the end of June and beginning of July at school. The results of these exams count for the final Maturité diploma results.
