Double diploma (start of the 2022 academic year) Swiss Maturité + IBDP International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

The IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) emphasizes the importance of exploring the relationships between school subjects and raising students' awareness of the international reality by going beyond each subject.

It also strives to increase opportunities to make connections between learning and their local context and the global world.

In this way, it coincides with the open, active and multilingual approach of the Ecole Moser.

In concrete terms, the majority of IBDP subjects overlap with those of the Maturité́, regardless of the track: bilingual German, bilingual English, or francophone.

The Maturité essay is equivalent to the IBDP Extended Essay.

Only two required elements are new compared to the Maturité: TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service). Both will develop students’ critical thinking and reflection. TOK, which makes students become more aware of their views, beliefs, and assumptions, is taught in German, English or French. CAS involves students in initiating, planning, implementing and reflecting on a range of activities throughout their two final years.

The accreditation received early November assures students and parents that Ecole Moser meets the rigorous standards set by the IB, including ongoing staff professional development.

The IBDP development team is now putting the final touches to the curriculum for the launch of the Maturité + IBDP double diploma from August 2022.
