Multilingual education

Based on the concept of discovery, fundamental learning is structured around a cross-curricular approach, through themed exploration pathways combining several languages and subjects (French, German, English, natural sciences, discovery of the world, plastic arts, etc.).

Some activities exploit the five senses. Combined with manual and physical activities, they promote understanding while developing vocabulary.

From the start of 1P, children are regularly exposed to three languages, mainly French, but also German and English. Early literacy and the discovery of the written word are taught exclusively in French in these grades. Reading is encouraged through weekly library activities.

This multilingual approach includes a strong cultural dimension that enables the construction of rich references including stories, music and traditions.

Pupils will regularly take part in outdoor learning activities. Organised outside the school, these outings allow for a practical approach to the subjects, based on observation and practice. These experiences also foster self-confidence and contribute to emotional and social development.

Pupils will also follow an 8-week swimming cycle.
